Okay… I’ve spent way too much time on this… As ve4grm said, it’s obvious there isn’t a theme that will work perfectly for what I have in mind, ans I just may very well have one done custom… I’ll stick to the current Sci-Fi one for the moment as it looks good and allows the […]
1st coat of paint finished… looks good
I finally found a theme I like. Easy on the eyes, modern look. You might have also noticed that all the posts and comments were imported successfully here… Joy! It’s not very RPG though… but I guess if I change the header I can go somewhere. Now next step is to add my own widgets!
The big Move starts today!
Sketch by Veronica Pare (She’s awesome!!!!) I just secured my very own domain name (Thanks Ve4!) and opened me an honest to God Web site! I installed WordPress on it… you can see it in all it’s empty splendor at: chattydm.net (simple, elegant, refined… so totally unlike me!) It will have its own email (chattydm(at)chattydm(dot)(net). […]
Chatty DM's Move: Signed the lease and started the painting…
So far so good. I like the themes I’ve installed so far.Now I’m going through the tutorial so things are butt ugly…. Since I’m going to lose my 19 levels of Technorati rating soon, I might has well cheat a bit… My original blog is here. It bugs me that image posting is not as […]
Generating a PC's personality on the fly
A few days ago, my good friend Stupid Ranger posted on inspiration about playing the game and writing about it in the blog. In that post I added a comment about an interesting experience I had with my friend Math. I’m reposting an expanded version of the comment here… not very original I agree, but […]
What… is your quest?
When it gets right down to it, there are three main reasons I design games: I look at a design and say “I can do that better.” I have not yet achieved all of my “Holy Grails” of game design. My brain won’t let me stop. It’s the second that I’m mostly concerned with today. […]
Chatty Player's Corner: Character Genesis
Well it was only a matter of time. Franky went completely bonkers over Monte’s World of Darkness d20 game and he’s bought d20 Modern, the Menace Manual and other books of the genre… I can’t say I blame him… I mean look at my library… and those are mostly 3.5 books! Anyhoo, while we were […]
DM Chronicles, Session 5: Graveyard Shift, Part 2
Part 1 can be found here. The players decided to go explore the Necropolis to find where the seven plant-creatures that survived the streets of Ptolus were headed for. They met once again with the leaders of the Keepers of the Veil who gave them another healing package (a 5 charge wand of Restoration and […]
Such Wondrous Dimensions
I really could not resist coming up with a few joke ideas for the RPG Superstar contest, the problem is that I’m also very interested in seriously entering but all I have spent time on is things like you see here. It seems like some of the steps in this contest will be harder to […]
DM Chronicles, Session 5: Graveyard Shift, Part 1
Previously on Phil’s game… Our yet unnamed band of heroes foiled the plans of evil Fey renegades by breaking up their drug ring in the Warrens of Ptolus. Said drug whose mellowing effect hides a terrifying price for those who abuse it: complete and irreversible transformation in a hideous plant-like humanoid monster. The Heroes then […]
