YouTube Tuesday: Singing about Kissing Wookies Edition

November 11, 2008 by Dave

An a capella version of various John Williams songs, with new lyrics around Star Wars. Oh, and it’s composited very well, as you’ll see.

    I found this video a few days ago and thought it was genius! Yeah, it’s *totally* dorky but insanely well done. And he’s got a pretty nice voice, too.

    The voices are actually not him. He just made the video (with permission) over top of an a cappella group called MooseButter.

    Oh wow, thanks Graham! My wife was amazed at how large of a range he had, so it’s actually LESS impressive knowing that it’s not one guy. Still a well done video though.

    That’s funny, I actually have this same video scheduled to post tomorrow on my blog.

    I’m going to have to look into Graham’s comment. That really does make it somewhat less impressive. Still, it’s done well.

    @Jeff –

    It’s not like he kept it a secret. The original band is listed on the youtube page for the video.

    It’s still a great video for a great song. The impressiveness of the vocal range is removed, but that’s about it.
