In about 24 hours, I’ll be leaving for the Toronto Fan Expo with my friend PM. The Expo is Canada’s largest event for Sci-Fi, Horror, Anime and Gaming fans where they get to meet some of their favorite industry personalities and stock up on merch. I have a 5 hour car trip to plan so I thought I’d reach out and share/ask how the travelling part of the trip should be prepared!
The Lord of Troma

I had a lot of nerves going into this – I’ve been a big Troma fan since I was 13 and used to spend every Friday and Saturday night watching horror movies on USA Up All Night. Mysteries Of The Unknown, Volume XVI: Unhappy Fanboys
Like many of you, I spent my Sunday evening in front of my TV, looking for some closure after six years of Lost. Like many of you, I had my theories as to what in the hell was going on, and I’d heard from several sources that the end of this great show wouldn’t disappoint. It was enough for some, but I say we were owed more.
Inq. of the Week: The End of Lost
As you’ve no doubt heard by now the finale of the show Lost was on last night, and since my wife and I have been big fans of the show ever since the fifth episode (we caught up on the first four within a day or two of seeing it) we were very excited to see how things would end up.
Inq. of the Week: Doctor… Who?
This weekend held one of the few must-see TV events for me: the premiere of the new season (or to some, new series) of Doctor Who here in the US. When reviewing the RPG, I mentioned how much of a fan of the more recent episodes I am. I thought David Tennant did a fantastic job, and was sad to see him go. However, I was still looking forward to seeing what the new guy would bring to the job.
Mighty Anthropomorphin’ Power Rangers
As the father of a 2 year old, it’s interesting for me having my son approach the age where I started remembering stuff. I remember bits and pieces of the tail end of being 2. I had my first stuffed animal friend, a bear named Fluffy. My son hasn’t latched on to any toy in particular as a buddy yet, nor really given any of his toys any anthropomorphic qualities. I’m curious to see when he starts, and what personalities he starts assigning. I used to name almost every toy I owned, and I can remember sleeping with my bed filled to capacity with little plastic toys so that they didn’t feel left out. I can definitely appreciate caring for the feelings of others, but in retrospect I think perhaps feeling empathy toward a Grimace comb obtained from a Happy Meal might have been a bit much.
Lost: Mostly Filler, but with a Dash of Desmond, Things Look Up
First, before we get to the dreamy Desmond’s delicious deliverance to the show, let’s take a look at why Season 6 of Lost has been filler up until now. The major plot points of the first part of Season 6 were: The Flash Sideways Reality, The Lostaways and the Temple, and UnLocke Is Evil. These plot arcs are the primary reason for the show sucking so badly. However, hope is on the horizon and its name is Desmond.
