Casshern

October 27, 2005 by spankleberry

I have just seen one of the most astounding things. Based on an old anime series, Casshern is a lengthy epic with all the trappings of classic anime stylings captured in a steampunk reality.

October 18, 2005 by spankleberry

As soon as I saw her there just across from me in the tube, I immediately whipped it out and pointed it at her, heedless of doors that threatened to close on my precious appendage I was talking about my camera, of course.

Recasting Call: The Big One

October 6, 2005 by Dave

So a couple years down the road, they decide to remake The Lord of the Rings trilogy. (Blasphemy, I know, but bear with me.) The studio execs decide to fill it with Hollywood stars, eschewing “would-be” stars that they used in the last version. Who would you cast? For that matter, who should direct, produce, […]

October: What I'm looking forward to

October 6, 2005 by Dave

In Comics: Infinite Crisis. I’m a total DC whore, and they’ve totally hooked me with all the lead in stuff, even if it varies drastically in quality. It’ll be good to see where it all has been heading, especially when they’ve got writers I enjoy like Judd Winnick and Geoff Johns onboard, but mostly looking […]
