I’m still in Florida, getting my head happily baked while my children play in the pool and get their feet frozen in the Atlantic.
I got an idea a few minutes ago. A few days ago, Jonathan Jacobs posted the list of the 375 blog posts nominated for possible inclusion on the second Open Game Table Anthology. I never got around to announcing the nomination process because I’m really bad at these things… yet I was completely astounded by the following nominations:

12 posts were nominated, and one of those written by the very talented Wax Banxs.
Whoa! Thank you all, I think I have the most nominations after Gnome Stew… and those guys were like 8 writers last time I checked! 🙂
Anyway, I thought it be a good idea to share with you some of my best reader-selected content while you wait for my return. While I’m at it, I wish to give a shout out to Jonathan who has been driving this project mostly solo up till now, I wish him the best of luck for part 2! Thanks for doing this!
Once again, I also want to thank everyone who nominated my posts, it warms my heart to see people care enough to do the little extra needed to get these posts in the hands of the Judges.
I’ll be back next week!

Very nice! Well, you’re definitely the most readable RPG blogger I’ve come across. That’s a bunch of well-deserved nominations.
Martin Ralya says
If all eight of us (nine up until recently) were as prolific as you are, Chatty, we’d be in trouble. 😉 Congratulations on your many nominations!
Didn’t you have the most pieces in the first volume? We’re flip-flopping on preparedness this year: last year, the Stew learned about OGT after the pieces had been selected.
ChattyDM says
@Andy: Thanks so much man! I really appreciate.
@Martin: I had quite a few pieces last year but many of them were awesome guest posts, including Berin’s now legendary ‘get your Dice off My Lawn’. As for preparedness, so far I really like the surprise factor coming from not having known what readers chose… it’s like a reader’s choice award 🙂
Stargazer says
Hey, cool! I just noticed that the one guest post I wrote for your blog is included as well! Yay me!
And I am sure a few of your posts will find their way into the OGT Vol. 2 at the end. I don’t think a RPG blog anthology could be complete without at least one post by you!
By the way, any news about the move to Critical Hits?
ChattyDM says
@Stargazer: Congrats! It seems that guest posters here get excellent press, I should have used this more 🙂
The Critical Hits merge seems to progress as planned. There are many technical hurdles to cross (which I know nothing about, being on purpose the non technical guy) but so far none seems to be a show killer. I’m really looking forward to it!

@Chatty:
Sweetness! Gratz on the nomination plethora!
(Just remembered I learned that word from El Guapo)
