Just as with last year, I am inflicting upon you the movie I helped make in 48.25 hours. It is not eligible for the YouTube of the Year award, despite being awesome.

I love short films, this one looked pretty polished for only making it in 48 hours!
The only major critique was that my Suspension of Disbelief was killed when I saw the Toyota emblem on the steering wheel. Did the Overlord not want people filming inside his car, or was there a lack of space, or could the actor not drive a manual (if it was one)?

Nice catch! The Mustang lacked the space in the backseat to fit a camera/audio crew, so a convertible subbed in, but I guess they missed the steering wheel. The Overlord also didn’t want people driving it long distances, so if you check the exterior shots, the windows have been blurred to hide the actual driver.
We were 15 minutes over deadline, and actually would have been fine if the drop-off point had been at a more accessible location.

Hehe, I figured it might be a space issue. I tried filming in my Eclipse.. ended up just securing the cam with a tripod and tie downs. It’s a lot of equipment to lug in there. Keep shooting!
