YouTubes of the Week: The Conchords are Flying

July 22, 2008 by Bartoneus

Wait, you might be saying, we’ve got some Bartoneus in your YouTubes of the Week?  Oh noes!  I can’t just sit back and let Dave do all of the work, after all, he did travel quite a bit over the weekend and deserves a break.  Just this once.  Besides, I simply must share something which has completely overtaken my wife and I.  That something is the Flight of the Conchords, New Zealand’s premiere musical comedy duo (or at least they’re probably in the top 10).  Not everyone is cool like Dave who has known about these guys for “years”, but they’re so hilarious I just have to share some of their youtube videos here!

Frodo, don’t wear the Ring!

More hilarious videos after the break!

The Humans Are Dead!

It’s Business Time.

There are a lot more videos of them, and you can find some of their music on iTunes, so definitely check them out if you haven’t heard of them before!

You neglected to mention the Figwit connection, my dear!

Heh, the videos are awesome on their own but I totally enjoyed the tv series as well. Hope you’ve been able to catch them. Season 2 isn’t until 2009 unfortunately…

Right, Figwit connection. Bret from Flight of the Conchords was actually in Fellowship and RotK as the character dubbed by fans as Figwit.

Ablefish: Definitely! We haven’t seen any of them on tv, and probably won’t because we don’t have tv (or more than 6 channels at least) anymore, but we’ve watched many of the skits on youtube!
