House Cleaning

April 8, 2008 by The Chatty DM

I’m enjoying my time off by mostly lounging around and taking it easy.

I am also tinkering with the blog a bit to make it more useful for readers. That’s why I moved the Recent Comments to the top of the primary sidebar.

I’m also finding that my blogroll is stretching beyond what I’d like it to take. However, I’d like to add more of them also to showcase all the blogs I’m reading. I’m going to move it all to a seperate Blogroll page and people will be able to link from the 1st page.

Edit: I will leave a few links in my 1st page Blogroll. Those are the Blogs that helped me get on the map and inspired/supported me from the start. Everyone else is going to be on the ‘Blogroll’ link found in my header bar. If you want to join that extended list (drop me a line at chattydm@chattydm.net)

I don’t know what I’ll do with the minions! page. I haven’t engaged in any Overlord of Crunch silliness in quite some time and I’m not sure anyone misses that. For those who wonder, the minions page is like a commenter’s roster (Your user name, your URL and maybe an image that represents you) with a bit of Trope Fluff added to it.

Edit: It stays there for the moment as it tells a little about the commenters/readers.

I might also experiment with a ‘most popular post’ plugin but I’m not sure yet.

Regardless expect to see things move around a bit today.

If you have any comments or suggestions (like plugins) don’t hesitate to drop them, I’m here all day… alternating between geeky stuff and house chores.

Edit: I’m done… tell me what you think.

Mmm, not really sure. I get the RSS feed, so normally if I come to the page it’s to read the comments, and they’re kind of harder to see now… on the other hand, though, it shows comments from older posts too, which can be regarded as a plus.

Meh. I come here for the content, not the layout anyway. 😉

Oh, I like that! Thanks for adding me to your link page. Now only 48 billion web pages more to go before my plan for web dominance will be complete, Wahahahahaha

The site looks great Chatty 🙂

    Omnius: Thanks! You’re back! Woot!

Rip: Thamks! I’m only happy to help a fellow Overlord try to take over the world. Leave some for me.

Yeah, I knew about the comment RSS, but while I like to follow your posts as soon as they’re made, I don’t have the same urgency about reading the comments.

    Fair enough…
