Smash Brothers Spoilers!

January 30, 2008 by Dave

With Smash Bros. for the Wii being delayed even longer, many of us are drooling with anticipation for the newest entry in Nintendo’s mashed-up fighter franchise. Well, Kotaku has a full set of screen shots that reveal a lot of the missing details, namely a full mostly full character select screen (posted after the jump) and some new levels. I’m thrilled that some of my favorites from the last game are in (Mr. Game and Watch returns! That is a shock.) There are some awesome surprises too: the NES playing robot, and cell-shaded Link are great additions. But I’m still disappointed at some “duplicate” characters appearing.

New characters, awesome new levels, new features… I really can’t wait now!

Still looking forward to it though…very forward…

It’s not even a “full character select screen,” though. Star Wolf has since been confirmed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0H6uRcUADi8

And I don’t think I even need to mention how bloody excited I am about this game!

Scypher- Thanks for the update. That’s a crazy number of characters (especially if there’s even more!) I’m not crazy about having Fox, Falco, and Wolf all in the game, but hey, better than having fewer characters.

I challenge the assumption that having tons of characters, many of which are the same and fill the same roles, is BETTER than having fewer. Different skins for one character would be one thing, but it’s starting to get ridiculous.

Horray more Characters but there is still WOLF from the fox seriese that needs to be revealed I am going to be PIKACHU because he is good and so is his final smash
