Yet another Milestone

October 22, 2007 by The Chatty DM

This is just a short meta-blogging message to mark my 100th post in this here blog. I can’t believe that in only 10 weeks I wrote between 70 000 and 100 000 words already!

Isn’t that like a novel or something?

While I originally was doing this for myself and some of my players (and I still do, to some extent) I remain amazed that some of you take a few minutes a day to drop by, read my ramblings and drop a comment here and there.

Also, as the poll on your reading preferences comes to a close, I see that the Tropes series is the most popular, with the Adventure Preps and DM logs a close second. (And thanks for the 2 Pr0n or ‘you suck’ responses! Woot!).

So I’ll take the occasion to announce a few new article features in this here post:

  1. I’ll be starting a new Tropes series in parallel to the ‘Mining Tropes’ ones. This one will be about RPG-specific tropes, like ‘The Killer DM’, ‘The Tavern Scene’ and ‘Celling falls, everybody dies’. So expect on average 2 trope posts a week.
  2. I’ve convinced a new guest to write about his RPG-related experience. I don’t want to spoil his entrance, but he’s a talented writer and brings a fresh perspective into the hobby. Hopefully it’ll develop into a series.

Cya at the 200 mark! Thanks for reading.

Mwa Ha Ha Ha! My plan for worlds domination is working!

    hmmm, sorry ’bout that.

Thanks one and all, we all have a good thing going here… it’s Nash’s theory at it’s best, each focusing on a special flavour of a related subject.

    You suck pr0n!!

    …wait…

Congrats, Phil. And also, you write way too much. 😛

Not that I’m complaining, of course.
