Aliens Vs. Predator Trailer

August 28, 2007 by Bartoneus

The Aliens Vs. Predator (Requiem, the sequel to AvP) R-rated trailer that wasn’t shown at Comic-Con San Diego is now online!

Alien Vs Predator 2 TRAILER HD

I’ll say that the first movie was definitely not the best movie, especially considering other movies in its continuity like Aliens and Predator, hell even Predator 2 has a fond place for me. However, AvP wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it could have been, but it looks unfortunate that this movie didn’t come in its place. Having basically no known actors, and based on the trailer a fairly low level of production, this one has more killing and from the looks of it a LOT more Aliens and a LOT more Predators.

That’s basically the equation that this movie needs, not to mention the badass factor that may/may not work in its favor. I’m skeptical because the trailer gives me a bit of a “more cheesey than good” feeling, so we’ll have to wait and see how this one turns out. I just hope that, seeing how much human death there is, that the humans trapped in the middle of this movie are smart, cunning, and empathy-worthy people who don’t just get killed because they’re stupid.

This movie seems to have a predeliction for cutting out people’s eyes. I like that in a movie.

Other movies you should be excited about: the Dragonlance movie that I found today on the web, starring Kiefer Sutherland as Raistlin and Lucy Lawless as Goldmoon. Word.

Not a dream or imaginary tale… the Dragonlance movie is in production. Reportedly there was footage of it at GenCon. The voice cast is awesome and the original writers of the books (Weis and Hickman) are both involved, which are good signs towards this not being another D&D movie debacle.

Looks promising, alot more so then AVP.. disapointing doenst come close when I think about that movie.

Lets hope this one does better.. but from the clips I get this horrible “Teen Slasher”underfeeling

I really have to disagree, I don’t think anything could have made AvP worse. Unless you count being tortured while watching it, but nothing the director/producer/writers could have done could have made it worse.

Maybe they will redeem themselves with AvP 2, but I wouldn’t hold out much hope.

Is Sigourney Weaver in it? If not….I won’t like it lol

Ive watched the trailer again and given it some thought. It has hope. Its more like the AVP comics/graphic novels or at least has that feel.

Small town of people isolated from the outside world thown in the middle of an all out slobberknocker between two alien races.

I just hope it doesnt get to campy.

Steve: I actually think what you said about the ‘slasher flick’ aspect of it is dead on, that’s the same feeling I get from that trailer.
