Houston…

December 6, 2006 by Bartoneus

When your TV is destroyed...you go back to the basics!Wii Have a Problem!

Check it out, a rather excellent site chronicling incidents involving the Wii’s controller and abused televisions the world over!  This one particular image is fantastic, as once you’ve thrown your Wii controller smack through your TV, nothing better to do then draw it on an etch-a-sketch!  I sincerely hope it’s real, but even in photoshop it would be a valiant and well done effort.

This also led me to another excellent site, NextGen Wars, which has some not so-surprising but very satisfying data about numbers of each next-gen console sold, along with a staggering majority of people (54% currently) voting for Nintendo’s Wii to win the next-gen war!  The X-Box 360 has a demanding headstart and a gigantic (8-fold) lead right now, but how will things fair once the Wii actually starts to remain on shelves, when the lesser nerd-core audience can get a crack at it, when us normal folks with lives and budgets decide we can finally enjoy the sheer, visceral pleasures of Golfing, Bowling, and Baseball..ing from the comfort of our living rooms!  Soon, my precious…very soon.

A Decepticon that used to be a MustangUpdate: Something else that you might find interesting, supposedly these are leaked CG images from Michael Bay’s upcoming Transformers Movie that we’re still not sure if it will be kinda cool or suck big-time.  I’m hoping for the kinda cool, or maybe even the coveted “pretty cool” rating, but Mr. Bay has yet to achieve such great heights from me so we just have to wait and see!  I dig the semi-realistic / semi-cartooney style of these, but the real test will be seeing the bots in motion and how believable they are in all four dimensions.  Here’s hoping!
