From the "WTF" department…

November 2, 2006 by Dave

As reported on Ogrecave, Games Workshop has decided to shut down its official forums. They recommend typing the name of your favorite army into a search engine to find new ones. Of course, you won’t be able to find official answers to rules questions, or talk directly with game designers, or give feedback to anyone in the company who matters… but hey, since when did GW care about making good games or having happy customers?

Marvel Comics is making a couple odd deals. The first has been going for a few weeks now, as they’ve decided that the soap opera “Guiding Light” takes place in the Marvel Universe. Wha… huh? Yes, the crossover that really no one demanded… a soap opera and the Marvel U. A backup feature has been running in their comics, and the new superhero called… wait for it… Guiding Light will be showing up in the soap soon. If you dare, you can check out a trailer… but I won’t be embedding any soap opera clips as long as I’m running the site. (Maybe after NBC buys us out.)

And another crossover that nobody asked for but makes slightly more sense is Army of Darkness vs. Marvel Zombies. I personally didn’t think Marvel Zombies was a great comic (and I generally enjoy Robert Kirkman’s work) but it did quite well, and so sequels were inevitable. But Ash in a parallel zombiefied MU? Somehow, I doubt it’ll be a quality story…
