So, were pirates cooler before Pirates of the Carribean (before mainstream society accepted them as cool), or after?
Cause I mean, the whole Pirate vs Robot vs Ninja debate goes back many years, long before PotC hit theaters. Pirates were pretty cool then; have they lost coolness because they’re now more mainstream?
To rephrase your question, is it appropriate to say “I liked pirates BEFORE they were cool”?
I’m kind of tired of pirates. But I still thought this joke was cute:
Q: Why are pirates called pirates?
A: They just arrrr.
