GATO is a loveable cat-like robot. Formerly a carnival attraction at the Millenium Fair, after the world was saved he lost interest in fighting with a mechanical boxing glove. Now, he processing Geeky RSS feeds from all over the internet and reposts them here. GATO is able to do this via a WordPress Blog, RSS technology, and FeedWordPress.
Basically, GATO takes new posts (advertised to the world via RSS) from sites that he likes to visit, and puts them on his page, so instead of having to go to all these different sites to see what’s new, you only have to look at GATO. Then if you find anything interesting, you click on the post to go to the site that created it.GATO has many different interests, and doesn’t make any distinction over what is interesting or not. He just posts it for you to decide what looks cool or not. He also posts them as he receives them, so some sites have more than others.GATO isn’t very creative, so he doesn’t make any new content, nor does he claim to. (He is one heck of a singer/songwriter, however.)
All the posts are the property of the site that originally posted them. If you’re one of the sites that GATO takes from, he isn’t stealing from you… he’s just using your own RSS feed, and if you don’t like that, maybe you shouldn’t have an RSS feed…
GATO also posts new entries on Critical Hits, both full posts and comments, since we are giving him a home.
