We’ve already seen the Martial Power sourcebook for Fighters, Rangers, Rogues, and Warlords. We also know others in the “Power” series are coming: Arcane Power, Divine Power, and Primal Power are all on the schedule.
However, that’s not all. Our sources* have uncovered pages from an upcoming supplement designed to change 4e 4ever forever. Yes, Real Ultimate Power will soon be coming to a store near you. This sourcebook details the users of the Real Ultimate power source. The iconic user of this power source is the Ninja of course, but we have also found that the book will include options for your Pirate and Cowboy characters that also draw on, in the words of the book, “the essence of totally sweet awesomeness.”
Here’s what the Ninja character class looks like:

There you have it, everything needed to play a 1st level Ninja. While some may accuse the book of containing some measure of so-called “power creep”, I wouldn’t think twice about letting a ninja into my party. After all, they’re fast, smooth, cool, strong, powerful, and sweet.
We’ll see if our confidential sources can deliver any more information on this upcoming book. Theories are currently that Pirates are the Real Ultimate Leader and Cowboys are the Real Ultimate Defender (at last, a ranged defender, and firearm rules for 4e.)
* = Our sources, in this case, being our imaginations.

Some part of me wonders if April came early this year. Another part wouldn’t bet on it being a joke.
In summary: Pirates > Ninjas

It freaks me out that I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if this were a real supplement.

Whoa! I have been playing with a house rule that is soooo close to this! My version has Dexterity, Charisma, Strength, Constitution, Intelligence, and Wisdom as Key Abilities. I am glad to see my house rule will be very close to what is core. My DM almost didn’t let me play one. Jerk.

It really is February? Not April? I had to check the date to be sure. Well played sirs. I was almost fooled, well, until the flavor text for the Fly skill. Then the asterisk at the bottom let me off the hook.

“The purpose of a ninja is to flip out and kill people.” I just find that so funny for some reason… I think it’s its innate hilarity or perhaps the fact that it’s nothing but funny.

Thanks for the laugh man, I needed it.

Awesome! Just saw this from the link on another post.
However, I figured role would have been “All of them” and Weapon Proficiences should specifically call out “Guitar” as well.
I can just see the higher level power “Kill the Whole City” that is an immediate reaction to a spoon dropping. Very nice stuff!
The Game says
Oh yeah, Weapon Proficiency: Guitar is awesome.
