YouTube Tuesday: 20XX Edition

November 25, 2008 by Dave

The first trailer for a fanmade Mega Man movie, to be released in its entirety on the Internet. It reminds me in some ways of Grayson, which is one of my favorite fanmade trailers.

That’s….that’s….awful. I’m sorry. That’s just dreadful. For an inner view of my emotional state, please refer to the Star Trek Original Series episode, Devil in the Dark…Spock mindmelds with the Horta, and experiences….”the pain!…the pain!”

    That’s me right now.

Looks good for a low budget fan project…

I have to give this a decidedly huge “meh”. From the looks of the other robots, the random asians in black jumpsuits/athletic gear, and the little you see of fight scenes it looks as if they’re not really taking it seriously but all of the writing and acting looks like they’re trying to be serious.

I don’t know what you guys are smoking, this trailer is dripping with pure awesome. Pure awesome just happens to also be intensely corny.

Yeah, totally! What were you guys expecting from a movie based on Mega Man?

Johnny Deep as proto man! Shia LeBouf as Mega Man! Kevin Spacey as Dr. Wiley! Liam Neison as Dr. Light!

Absolutely awesome. I cannot wait to watch this. The writing and acting seem solid…sans Roll. And while the fight scenes were a little iffy in the trailor, who cares, I cannot wait to see their interpretation of the challenges of Rock’s discovery of his destiny.

And the guy playing Wily, awesome.

Well I don’t know if this trailer is good or bad, but it’s more fun to watch than the end of Dirty Dancing. I know this because my wife is in charge of the remote right now, and those are my choices.

I agree with Rev Mike, it looks ok with all things considered. Also, maybe I didn’t look hard enough, but did Mega Man even have his cannon arm? They appeared to focus on hand-to-hand combat.

This looks like it has some potential to be fun…
