Inq. of the Week: Spring/Summer Movies

April 23, 2007 by Dave

10m.jpgLast week, we asked if you thought there was “more than meets the eye” to the new Transformers designs. Most of you thought that they looked awesome, with a strong contingent for merely pretty good and a wish that they had gone more old school with them.

As I pointed out in Trailermania I last week, there’s a lot of potentially good (and potentially terrible) movies coming out soon. Now I feel as though Hot Fuzz has officially kicked off the movie season- despite it being significantly lower budget than most things on this list. But the question is:

{democracy:16}

(Please note: the top blank answer is being used as a test to try and detect if our polls are being spammed. PLEASE do not vote for it.)

Here’s some IMDB links for those that the poll started with, in case you weren’t familiar with one or more of them:

Spiderman 3, 28 Weeks Later, Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World’s End, Ocean’s Thirteen, Fantastic Four 2: Rise of the Silver Surfer, Ratatouille, Transformers, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, The Simpsons Movie, Stardust, Fanboys

    Nothing can really surpass the excitement I have for seeing Venom on the big screen, everyone who knows me knows it. Not even transformers, which has a much higher suck-possibility then Spiderman.

    Spiderman is the perfect storm of a proven commodity and iconic geek culture.

    Pirates 3 would be a close second for me, I have thoroughly enjoyed Captain Jack Sparrow as a break from the typical action mold.

    hmm, simpsons movie? are you serious? is there some stuff out there I haven’t seen? Cause all thatI have seen, I wish I hadn’t.

    I’m going for stardust, because it’s probably the one movie that won’t get the audience it deserves, makes it the first theater priority for my wallet.

    I haven’t heard of some of these, including Stardust (which I’ll go check out on IMDB now). I’m actually looking forward to Pirates III most.

    Are these really the only movies coming out over the summer?

    I only did the first 11- but I left the option to add your own if there are any that others that you want to vote for.

    I would like to say I did not vote for “.” 20 times.
