OK, I thought that arcane magic came from the Elemental Chaos and thus arcane/elemental was the same thing? This smacks of Wizards not getting their own cosmology and principles of magic straight. Of course that’s always been a problem with the line.
Elemental was listed as a power source from the very beginning (look in your 4e PHB, even though they later killed ki) but it’s not yet clear if this book will use it as a power source.
