I have been posting on a wiki site that Propagandroid setup a little while back. It is designed so that anyone can add their own sections (free to sign up) and I think it's also a great way to share info between DMs. The site is: http://thegamerdome.wetpaint.com
My current campaign is under the "Thousand Mountains" section and in addition to info on PCs/NPCs, I've been posting adventure seeds and adventure logs of our sessions (which I need to update before our next get together). I advise everyone to check it out and feel free to post ideas and/or start your own section there.

Using the wiki as your digital notepad works really well also! The GM secret section is very helpful, and the GM only option can be used with the tags to create a digital for the Dungeon Master's eyes only notes.

Grey: thanks for sharing that! That Planescape wiki is pretty badass, and a lot of the stuff on it feels very official and historical, which really sucks players in. I like it!

LordVreeg: I definitely agree when it comes to a repository for just overall information in a game, wikis can be lifesavers!

Creating a repository for setting information is a gigantic help to any campaign. The Campaign Builders Guild (http://thecbg.org/news.php)does a great job with hosting this as well as assisting with general GM psychoanalysis.
It allows new players to acclimate much more quickly, which is critical in an older campaign.
And since it is live on the web, it can me accessed real-time during gaming sessions. This can be even more critical in Homebrews and unusual rule systems.
More, as PC's can access and collaborate with wiki's, it becomes more of a living document, and can begin to feed on itself.
