The Sound of Gnomes
In case you haven’t already, head over to Gnome Stew (which you should be reading anyway) and leave a comment on this post to be entered into a contest for one of the coolest prizes I’ve ever seen for RPGs: custom sound effects for your game! The sound effects are made by the professional sound engineer that runs World of Twilights Studio so it’s not just some bum in a basement hitting bottles… it’s real quality work (and check out the samples if you don’t believe me.)
Be sure to enter by Labor Day this Monday for your chance to win!
TheGame is Dave Chalker, a lifelong gamer, freelance game designer, Master of Arts, and son of Jack L. Chalker. Dave is the Editor-in-Chief of Critical Hits and so runs the place. He is the envy of geeks everywhere because he's dating e, the Geek's Dream Girl. (Email Dave or follow him on Twitter).

Thanks, Dave!
I actually forgot about Labor Day when I set the deadline — it’s the one holiday that sneaks up on me every year. Nonetheless, Labor Day it is — so there’s still time for your readers to get on in there.
Are they dead when you start stewing them? Or do you stew them alive to preserve freshness?

It’s really a personal preference thing. I like to treat them like lobsters in little felt hats — they have to be killed at the time of cooking, or they just taste weird.
