YouTubes of the Week: D&D Classics Edition
I’m sure most gamers have seen or heard all of these before, but hey, what better time than a new edition to showcase these? The first one is the “summoner geeks” version of the Dead Ale Wives first D&D skit. Then a performance of Stephen Lynch’s song about D&D. Finally, the music video to Flashlight Brown’s “Ready to Roll” song about D&D (the video, however, has nothing to do with D&D.)

The Dead Ale Wives recording was how our first DM responded when we asked “how do you play D&D?”…Dew soon became my lifeblood…

Hopefully you told him that if there are any girls there, you want to do them.
Unless they are girl players. Then you get hit.
(Note: My gaming group is myself, 3 girls, and 3 guys. One girl is my fiancee. Expressing desire to “do” one of the others would indeed get me hit.)

Most of the games I played/ran in college (and at one point there were 4 simultaneously) were either equal men/women, or majority women.
…And they made the same jokes.
At the same time, they weren’t as fond of the jerk in our group who kept yelling “I spend all my loot on Ale and Whores!” which is funny to reference ONCE, but not every single time you get loot.
Definitely more getting drunk, though a bit of wenching did occur…
Unfortunately for me, we play in a predominately (all) male group…the few occasions we’ve tried to have female players in the game, they ended up throwing apples of dischord at us…and then the bros before hoes concept took hold rather firmly at our table…we lost some good players though…*sigh*…
