Taking a few days off.

My 6 year old son has a somewhat major surgery scheduled for this Friday. Nothing life threatening, but they have to take something in the bone behind his ear that’s not supposed to be there and that’s slowly making it deaf as it grows.

Any parents reading this will understand that as excited as I am with 4e’s release and the tons of DM things I’d love to talk about, I’m really not much in the mood for writing as my thoughts are elsewhere.

So until he undergoes surgery and wakes up, I won’t be posting anything on the blog.

Thanks for understanding and I know that you all care enough to have positive thoughts for my little Dungeonmaster.

See you next week.

  13. Best of luck Phil! Even a minor surgery feels HUGE when it comes to your family. I hope everything goes well. Ask them if they can raise his listen score by a few points while they are in there ;) .

  14. Reverend Mike says:

Bah, “luck” and “hope” aren’t things you can count on…just have your kid drink a potion of Bear’s Endurance before the surgery and he’ll be fine…

Actually…those medical folks probably pop those in through the IV…not to mention the various cure potions…so, it’ll just be a cautionary measure to give him that Juicy Juice with the polar bear on the front…but whatever…

Also, good luck…hope all goes well…
