Batman: TAS Online!
I was very shocked to find on the internet full episodes of the most excellent Batman: The Animated Series, especially from a source such as AOL. I haven’t gotten the chance to verify the quality or how well they are actually provided, but I was just surprised to see them on there at all, typically all AOL is good for providing is the latest scoop on Britney Spears or other vomit-inducing news, possibly sometimes a sadly distorted “look inside” piece on gaming, but this is honest-to-goodness pure Batman providence!
For those of you that aren’t yet familiar with it, Batman: The Animated Series was a traditionally animated cartoon that first came out between 1992 and 1995, and quickly became one of the most iconic representations of the character in motion ever to exist. The show was revolutionary in creating a distinct film-noir / art-deco feeling by using backgrounds painted on black paper rather then the typical white. This meant that every scene of the show was created as negative space in a dark world, which is really the only way Batman should be animated. [Read the rest of this article]
Testing My Resolve

Certainly a heavy stipulation to tag onto any resolution is the line “unless I die in the process,” but with a game as sinisterly difficult as Ultimate Ghosts’n'Goblins it may just come down to that. Given to me as a christmas present, I dove right in on December 25th and chose the Normal Difficulty level as I always do. Sometimes I glance at the stigmata known as “Pussy mode”, but never do I venture through a game in that hopped up love fest. After about an hour it became clear to me that this game had in fact bitch slapped me into a submissive, drooling, little worm of a game player. I could finish the first level, but the number of lives I escaped with was less then needed to get through the other eleven, much less one more.
My tail set snuggly between my legs, I returned to the title screen, closed my eyes, asked god for the salvation of my noobish soul, and accessed the Easy Mode. It was with nothing short of inconcievable terror that I soon found out that even on the wimpiest of wimpy settings I was not going to be able to easily best this game. Welcome to 2007, I certainly hope the holidays and 2006 were kind to everyone and that the new year will bring many more good things to everyone! We’re jumping right in with our Inquisition of the week:
What new technology do you predict for 2007?
On October 23rd, 2001 the world was introduced to Apple’s iPod, which after not too long became the staple accessory for pretty much anyone anywhere.
During the weekend of May 3rd-5th, 2002 the first Spiderman movie becomes the first film to break $100 million in an opening weekend. On July 3rd, 2002 Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos is released and introduces 3d graphics into Blizzard’s typical RTS formula, as well as setting the groundwork for what would soon become the company’s biggest cash-cow. November 15th, 2002 Microsoft launches their online console service X-Box Live to luke-warm success. This would later be the building block for their extremely successful online service for their next-gen console.
