Spambots invasion

As you may have noticed, Spambots have started landing on my Four on the Floor Meme post.

I don’t intend to do anything other than delete them as they come…. As long as they stay confined to this post, which, oddly enough, is the only post that has a backlink to it.

I’d really rather not have to activate a Captcha (unless I find one like Shamus that shows a unique really simple word) or activate moderation. I might have to, suggestions welcome.

But such is the price to pay for a blog I guess.

I’ll deactivate backlinks.

Robots are cool! Spambots aren’t.

I love flight of the concords, their stand up show is awesome. I’m a big fan of comedians who mix music in with their acts.

    This is hilarious! Love it!

That’s just a small part of the song, as well.

Go here for the full song.

Note that a few lyrics are different. Each of their songs is slightly different every time they perform it.

If you do need to implement a captcha, you can always go with reCAPTCHA, which uses the data generated by captchas in order to help digitize classic works. Still just as much of an annoyance, but at least it’s for a good cause rather than wasted effort…

This is sooooo geeky I absolutely love the idea…. a nit like what that Seti thing a few years ago…

    I’ll read on it more.

So far Spambots only target the Meme post and I consider that part of blog sealed off and contained… :)

When they break through I’ll have a plan!

    Mwa HA HA HA!

(Thanks Moongoose, cool nick by the way)
